Employment & Redundancy

With our current world ever changing and our clients’ needs altering significantly around employment and redundancy, Citizens Advice East Devon are keen to raise awareness of the free services available to those who find themselves in difficulty. They say getting advice on problems at an early stage is key to getting on top of them.

That’s why we are introducing our new advice service supporting our clients impacted by employment & redundancy issues. This support is arriving at a critical time to a lot of people, it will also allow us the opportunity to provide additional skills and training to our community.

Our trained advisors will be on hand to advise and support employment and redundancy queries, from entitlement questions, to tribunal support ensuring people are being treated fairly.

We are thrilled to introduce an additional element to this service by collaborating with Devon County Council and Learn Devon who have designed 5 learning opportunities to support our clients back to employment. This will be offered to anyone that contacts us and expresses a need for support back to employment. Courses will include CV writing, online interview skills, or overcoming your fears about employment, to name a few.

Some people may need to access employment and redundancy advice for the first time, and others may need advice on how to manage other areas that have been impacted by their change of circumstances such as Housing, Benefits, Debt advice. These are all areas that our trained advisors are experienced in dealing with, and can support you with over the telephone and online.
